Blanche R. Fisher

Blanche R. Fisher, 96, of Flat Rock, Illinois passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Magnolia Center at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, Illinois. She was born August 30, 1920 in Shoals, Indiana, the daughter of Med and Dorothy (Hayes) Ducharme. She married Charles Kenneth Fisher on August 23, 1940 and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2003. Blanche was a homemaker and a member of the Allison Prairie Church of the Brethren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one brother, Dexter Ducharme; one sister, Wilma Smith; and two infant daughters, Charlene and Marlene. Survivors include three sons, Charles Fisher and wife, Karen, of rural Flat Rock, Illinois, Dean Fisher and wife, Fran, of Flat Rock, Illinois, and Don Fisher and wife, Kay, of Wooster, Ohio; two daughters, Nancy Buttolph and husband, Russ, of Flat Rock, Illinois and Pat Fisher of Flat Rock, Illinois; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM CST at the Centerville Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Blanche's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
