Billy Jess Carrico

Billy Jess Carrico, 61, of Lawrenceville passed away Friday February 20, 2009 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.He was born May 5, 1947 in Lawrence County, IL the son of William and Opal (Tewell) Carrico. He married Mary Ashley on January 31, 1987. She survives.Also surviving are a daughter: Kim Ann Carrico of Houston, TX, a step-son: Joshua Ashley of Robinson, IL, and a sister: Fredonna Degarmo of Fort Bidwell, CA.He had worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Lawrence and Crawford counties, as well as the city of Robinson. He worked in Security for various companies and later worked his own booth at felea markets. He was a member of the Masons. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War.There will be no services. The body is being cremated.
