Bill A. Horn

Bill A. Horn, 91, of Lawrenceville, passed away Friday, while working out, doing his daily exercises at a local gym. His family was extremely proud of his daily workout ethic, regardless of his age. Bill was born June 23, 1924 in Bicknell, Indiana, the son of Carl and Opal (Powell) Horn. He married Ada Margaret Easton on September 14, 1947, and she died November 6, 2000. Bill worked as a Stillman for Texaco Refinery until his retirement. He owned and operated the "Dairy Clipper" ice cream truck. Bill was a member of First Christian Church. He was a veteran with the United States Army, having served during WWII. Other memberships include the VFW, Moose, Elks, and American Legion. Preceding Bill in death were his parents, his wife, Ada, and a special friend Thelma Wahl. Survivors include a son, Bill Horn and his wife Janet of Lawrenceville; a daughter Debbie Bones of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Judy Barnes of Memphis, TN and Jane Small of Thousand Oaks, CA; four grandchildren, Shantel Marie Bones, Tavis Easton Bones, Season Rebecca Barrett, and Joshua Logan Horn and five great-grandchildren, Isla Marie Bones, Crew Easton Bones, Ryan Paisley Barrett, Kale Joshua-Gene Barrett, and Tessa Lynn Horn. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 PM Wednesday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
