Beverly Kay Smith

Beverly Kay Smith, age 68, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 10, 1948 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence Emert and Elsie Jung Evans. She married Dale Eugene Smith on November 30, 1969 and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2009. Beverly was a homemaker and a member of Assembly of Yaweh Church. Preceding Beverly in death were her parents and husband, Dale. Survivors include: one son, Jeffrey Smith and wife, Rhonda, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; one daughter, Naomi Elaine Smith of McLeansboro, Illinois; four brothers, Don Evans and wife, Dottie, Paul Evans and wife, Jill, Jerry Evans and wife, Angie, all of Peoria, Illinois and Leonard Evans and wife, Wanda, of Creve Coeur, Illinois. Nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the service hour of 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at the Cresthaven Memorial Park in Claremont, Illinois.
