Beverly A. Shick

Beverly A. Shick, age 63, of rural Lawrenceville passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born January 16, 1948 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Clarence "Jim" August Frey, Sr. and Edna Marie (Leffler) Frey. She married Jack Shick, April 11, 1969 and he survives. Beverly was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and a teacher's aide in Special Education. Beverly was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. She also enjoyed sewing. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson. Survivors include her husband Jack of rural Lawrenceville; two sons Chris Shick (Ginger) and William Shick (Angie) and two daughters Jackie Shick and Jeannie Ferrell (Tyler) all of Lawrenceville; three brothers Thomas Frey (Georgia) of Lawrenceville, Jim Frey of Cody, Wyoming, and Rick Frey (Linda) of Sun City, AZ; two sisters Barbara Whittaker (Don) of Lawrenceville and Diana Mitchell of California, as well as nine grandchildren. Funeral mass service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville with burial to follow in Billett Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
