Betty Jean Abernathy Jones, 85, of New Harmony (formerly of Lawrenceville) passed away Wednesday November 29, 2006 at the New Harmony Healthcare Center. Born September 21, 1921 she was the daughter of Earl and Lula May (Lake) Abernathy. On September 5, 1942 she married James Leroy Jones. He is deceased.Surviving are daughters and husbands: Barbara Jean and Tom Cochran of New Harmony, IN, Gloria J. and Terry Kiser of Starkville, MS, Rebecca J. and Ron Waldrop of Bridgeton, MO, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. A grandson John Leroy Cochran is deceased.The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00pm. Burial will be at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
