Bertha ‘Sue’ Noel Facko

Bertha ‘Sue’ Noel Facko, age 70, of Sumner, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2024 at her residence. She was born on October 09, 1954 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Homer and Mary ‘Josephine’ (Shidler) Fleming.

Sue graduated from Calumet High School in Gary, Indiana. She loved her family, as well as red and yellow roses. Her hobbies included fishing, reading, cooking, and camping. She was a member of the Sumner Free Methodist Church. She will be missed by many, especially everyone that knew her as ‘mom’.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Jerry Fleming; and one nephew, Dalton Hightshoe.

Survivors include one daughter, Julie Fiala and husband, Robert of New Mexico; three brothers, David Fleming of Newton, Illinois, Joseph Fleming and wife, Dawn of Sumner, Illinois, and James Fleming and wife, Julie of Sumner, Illinois; one sister, Rebecca Ray and husband, Gayle of Kentucky; three nephews, Justin Fleming, Jared Fleming, and James Fleming; one niece, Chelsea Fleming; six great-nieces and nephews; many adopted kids and grandkids; as well as her grand pups, Joy, Cammo, and Missy Fiala.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 5:00pm CST at the Sumner Free Methodist Church in Sumner, Illinois. The Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
