Bernice M. Wright

Bernice M. Wright, age 97, passed away at her residence on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009 in Sumner, IL.She was born December 26, 1911 in Lawrence County, the daughter of  Joseph Fredrick Cullison and Minta (Waggoner) Cullison.  She married Orris M. Wright June 14, 1931 and he passed away November 2, 1977.Bernice and her husband owned and operated the Wright Insurance Agency in Sumner, IL.  She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Sumner.Bernice enjoyed cooking, playing board games and card games with her friends and family.  She had been a devoted caregiver to her nephew Bradford Cullison.  During her declining health and at the time of her death, she was being cared for by her nephew, Robert Kent Cullison.Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers (Ralph, Arthur, and Robert); and one sister (Nellie).Survivors include one brother Harold Cullison and one sister Mildred Greene, both of Indianapolis, IN.Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL.The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 pm. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Sumner Cemetery.
