Barbara A. Darnold

Barbara A. Darnold, 74, of Bridgeport, Il passed away Thursday February 23, 2012 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born February 9, 1938 in Chaffee, MO the daughter of Hurshel J. and Goldie P. (Medlin) Shelton. On January 30, 1960 she married Harry Darnold Jr. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2005. Barbara had worked at Central Industries, and Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Bridgeport Assembly of God Church. She is survived by two sons: Chad Darnold, of Lawrenceville, IL, Danny Darnold of Indiana, four brothers: Lloyd (Betty) Shelton of Lawrenceville, IL, Ed L. (Janet) Shelton of Santa Claus, IN, Lewis E. (Brenda) Shelton of Lawrenceville, IL, Terry L. Shelton of Bridgeport, IL, five sisters: Wanda (Noble) Belcher of Hammond, IN, Wilma (Lanny) Schroyer of Flat Rock, IL, Linda (Bobby) Rendell of Hammond, IN, Sharon (Mike) Weiss of Sumner, IL and two grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 12:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is also Saturday from 10:00am until the service hour at 12:00pm.
