Arletta A. Brown, 69, of Lawrenceville, passed away Thursday night at her residence.Born April 4, 1938 in Lawrence County, IL, she was the daughter of Clarence and Mable Ruth (Holtzclaw) West.On November 22, 1953 she married Paul Brown. He survives.Arletta and her husband Paul owned and operated Browns Pet Shop in Lawrenceville before moving to Indianapolis. Arletta worked as a Medical Secretary at Indiana University/ Riley Childrens Hospital. They moved back to Lawrenceville after retirement. She was a member of the Church of God Prophecy.She is survived by a son: Billy Joe Brown of Avon, IN, a daughter: Paula Faught of Indianapolis, 6 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.The funeral will be Monday at 1:00pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation is Sunday from 5 to 7pm. Burial will be at Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Claremont, IL.Memorial donations may be given to the Indiana University Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
