Anthony M. Standarski

Anthony M. Standarski, age 82, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at William J. Riley Hospice House in Munster, IN. He was born January 27, 1930, in Hammond, IN, the son of Anthony Standarski, Jr. and Stella (Vurzak) Standarski. He married Rosemary Baltzell and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2009. Anthony was a self-employed wholesale florist. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and attended St. Michaels Catholic Church in Schererville, IN. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rosemary. Survivors include one son David (Janis) Standarski of DeMotte, IN; four daughters Toni (Plomer) Barnes of Lawrenceville, IL, Linda (Scott) Rosales of Schererville, IN, Nancy Standarski of Lawrenceville and Rose (Doyle) McCullough of Lawrenceville; one sister Toni Hawthorne of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney, IL. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to the William J. Riley Memorial Hospice with envelopes available through the funeral home.
