Biography Anna Mae Henry, 64, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. She was born July 9, 1950, in Pinkstaff, IL, the daughter of Owen and Eva (Hatfield) Medlen. She married Terry L. Henry on May 28, 1967, and he died December 22, 1990. Anna owned and operated H and H Hallmark Store and The Scoop restaurant, both located in Lawrenceville. She was also a homemaker. Anna was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Other memberships include Lawrence County Country Club and her Canasta Card Club, which she belonged to for 30+ years. She enjoyed her home, doing lawn work, spending time around the pool, and collecting snowmen, but her pride and joy were her grandchildren. Preceding Anna in death were her parents; her husband Terry; a son T.L. Henry; a grandson Gunner Gillespie, and two brothers Bill Medlen and Robert Medlen. Survivors include her "special friend" Jon Pope of Lawrenceville; her daughter Janna (Gus) Gillespie of Benton, KY; two brothers Jim (Judy) Medlen of Pinkstaff, IL and Frank Medlen of Lawrenceville; two sisters Phyllis Crunk of Macon, GA and Joyce Smith of Lawrenceville, and two grandchildren Camille Andrews and Garlynn Gillespie. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 AM at Lawrenceville City Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials may be made to Gunners Magic Train or the Ronald McDonald House. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
