Anita R. Burnett

Anita R. Burnett, age 76, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at her residence. She was born on May 28, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of David and Virginia Christine (Gilkey) Horn. She married Danny Burnett on June 05, 1965, and he survives.

Anita was a homemaker. She also worked in childcare and was a companion sitter for the elderly. Her memberships included the Hi-Way Church of God and Ladies Fellowship at the church. She enjoyed crafting, collecting butterflies, and watching hummingbirds.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Danny; two children, Michael J. Burnett and Tamara Kocher and husband, Brian all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one grandchild, Kai Kocher of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, David Carrol Horn and wife, JoAnn of Missouri; and two sisters, Renetta Besser of California, and Kimberly Shaffner and husband, Eric of Illinois.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Hi-Way Church of God.
