Allard G. Blanchard, age 80, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Eastgate Manor in Washington, Indiana. He was born August 12, 1932, in Centertown, Kentucky, the son of James Samual and Lorrene (Southard) Blanchard. He married Marilyn (Klar) Blanchard on November 2, 1974, and she survives.
Allard was an insulator for Local 37 out of Evansville, IN. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. Allard was a member of the VFW.
Surviving along with his wife are two sons Doyle Blanchard of Owensboro, Kentucky and Jeffrey Blanchard of Missouri, two daughters, Melva (Jimmy) Wiggins of Missouri,
and Julie Estes of Memphis, Tennessee, two step-sons Terry Hart (Toni) of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Todd (Ginger) Hart of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three step-daughters Tina (Ralph) Bowersock of Bridgeport, Illinois, Tammy Uhlik of Lawrenceville, and Trisha (Keith) Weger of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother Alan Blanchard of Centralia, Illinois, one sister Shirley Maglinger of Owensboro, Kentucky, 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Lawrenceville City Cemetery with military rites. There is no visitation.
