Alice Lorraine Sharum

Alice Lorraine Sharum, age 66, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of St. Francisville, Illinois, passed away June 3, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born October 5, 1952, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald A. and Genevieve (Jones) Sharum. She was not married, however she remained faithful to her partner of 23 years, Mr. Frank Zamito, until his passing in 2016. Alice worked as a Bellman in the hotel industry. She was employed at the Hilton Hotel, now known as the Westgate, for 42 years, retiring only last year. Preceding in her death were her parents; one sister, Marjorie I. Sharum, of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother, Joseph G. Sharum; and longtime partner, Frank Zamito. Survivors include: three sisters: Marion A. Sinclair of La Ponte, Indiana; Dorothy J. Shoulders of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and Donna Sylvester of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three brothers, Donald E. Sharum of Lawrenceville, Illinois; Carrol V. Sharum, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Bernard L. Sharum of Tullahoma, Tennessee; and Stephen M. Sharum, of Tonawanda, New York; one step-brother, W. Isaac Davis of Princeton, Indiana; extended family and many close friends in her second home of 40 plus years in Las Vegas, Nevada. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 6, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. There will be no visitation prior to the burial at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in St. Francisville, Illinois.
