Alexander G.K.

Biography Dr. Alexander G. K. Po, age 69, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at his residence. Born, August 10, 1942, in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of Po Bian Bian and Po Ong Siok Hui. He leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Louise Po. Dr. Po was a surgeon and physician with Lawrence County Memorial Hospital for 33 years. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Dr. Madeleine G. Po, his mother, and a brother, Walter Po. Survivors include his father Po Bian Bian of the Philippines, his wife Louise Po, one son Christopher Po with wife Nettie of Westfield, IN; one daughter Stephanie Po White with husband Jason of Newburgh, IN; one step-son Michael Miller of Vincennes, IN; two step-daughters Stacey Goel with husband David of Weston, MA and Michele Rankin with husband Gary of Greensboro, NC; three brothers Marciano Po, Robert Po, and Lawrence Po of the Philippines; five sisters Dr. Gertrude P. Cotiaux and husband Neil of North Canton, OH; Emily Sy, Elena Ang, Marilyn Tan, and Marylou Go, all of the Philippines, as well as eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, IL with burial to follow in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
