Aleta Jo Crouch

Aleta Jo Crouch, 81, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the United Methodist Village-North Campus in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born April 19, 1936 in Birds, Illinois, the daughter of Luther C. and Bonnie (Shank) Stevenson. She married Francis ‘Slim' L. Crouch on October 21, 1954 and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2013. Aleta was a homemaker and a member of the Bee Branch Church. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; son, David Crouch; and four brothers, Harold, Sam, Warren, and Leonard. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Wells and husband, Butch, of Sumner, Illinois and Lucinda ‘Cindy' Coley of Newburgh, Indiana; one sister, Louise Whittaker of Lawrenceville, Illinois; two grandchildren, Colton Minnette and wife, Sarah, and Samantha Wells; two great-grandchildren, Braydn Minnette and Temperance Minnette; and several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be Friday, November 10, 2017 at 7:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Following the service, Aleta's wishes were to be cremated. A private burial of ashes will be conducted at a later date at the Otterbein Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Aleta's memory may be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center and Wig Shoppe.
