Alene E. Stoltz, age 78, of Bridgeport, IL passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 19, 1933 in Klondike, IL, the daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Blake) York.
Alene worked as a cook several years at the Pine Lawn Nursing Home in Sumner, IL., after the closing of the care facility Alene provided childcare at her home for children. Alene attended the Island Free Methodist Church and the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church.
Alene was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law; Jimmie Archer, 5 brothers, and 7 sisters.
Survivors include her son, Steven(Haven) Stoltz of Bridgeport, IL; two daughters Kim (Bill) Bradberry of Flat Rock, IL. and Lesa (Darrin) Christian of Vincennes, IN.; one brother Richard(Linda) York of Angola, IN., and 6 grandchildren, Wade Christian, Amanda Christian, Paige Christian, Jonathan Stoltz, Jordan Stoltz and Bailey Stoltz.
Memorial donations can be made to TIP Hospice of MT. Carmel, IL. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Visitation for Alene will be on Tuesday February 14, 2012 from 5 PM to 7 PM (CST) at Emmons-Macey-Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL.
Funeral Services for Alene will be on Wednesday February 15, 2012 at 10 AM at the Emmons-Macey-Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Burial will follow at the Chauncey Cemetery.
