Twilla Hinton Obituary
Twilla D. Hinton, age 85, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born January 8, 1934 in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Burk B. Ralph and Mary (Waters) Hill.
Twilla managed and worked as a waitress at Walley's Root Beer Barrell in Westport, Illinois. She also managed two Dunkin' Donut Shops in Phoenix, Arizona. Her hobbies included crafts and word search puzzles. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Nevada.
Preceding her in death were her parents; infant son, Carl D. Hinton, Jr.; one brother, James Bud Hill; one sister, Charlotte Stephens; and late husband, Carl D. Hinton.
Survivors include one daughter, Carla Priebe of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three brothers, Phillip Hill and wife, Gail, of Eatonton, Georgia, Bill Hill and wife, Pat, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Burk Hill of Bridgeport, Illinois; three sisters, Violet ‘Butch' Newell of Chandler, Arizona, Doretta Schemerhorn of Plainfield, Indiana, and Kathy Reeder of Vienna, Illinois; two grandchildren, Brandon Priebe and wife, Ginny and Jason Priebe and wife, Stacey; and three great-grandchildren, Kinsley Priebe, Carter Priebe, and Sophia Priebe.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
