Ruby Greenlee Obituary

Ruby Day Greenlee

Born on March 23, 1923
Died on Monday, August 20, 2018

Married Joseph E. Greenlee June 19, 1943
God gave them 72 years of marriage before he took Joe home on May 9, 2015.

Survivors, a daughter Nina and spouse Bob Pinnick and two sons Roy and spouse Jodie Greenlee and Kirk and spouse Trudy Greenlee.
Five grandchildren Danny Beard, Les Joe Greenlee, Hollie (Beard) Brown, Nicole (Greenlee) and Calvin Whaley, and Melissa (Greenlee) and Seth Haley.
Great-grandchildren Whitney, Zack, Conner, Sienna, Dalton, Corbin, Makayla, and Jackson.
Two sisters Jeannie (Palmer) and Harry Kerschner, and Beulah (Palmer) Rister.

Proceeded to Heaven were her parents, Ellis and Clara May Catherine (Dolby) Palmer and sisters Marcella (Palmer) and Bob Holtz, Dorothy Maxine (Palmer) and Carl Cummings, and JC Rister (Beulah's husband).

She was a member of Gods Church and served his church as a member of White House Christian Church. She was called Mother, Aunt, and Ms. Ruby by several Extended families: Dick and Tracy (Dillon) Pfeiffer and six children, Sue (Crome) O'Neal and family, Dave and Lisa Helderman and children, Debbie, Davie, and Dara (Dooley) Richey, Allen, Pam, and Ashton Mosby, and the Children of the late Gail and Freda Lappin. All were precious to her.

She was well known for delivering food to families at their homes for 39 plus years. She would find out what else they needed and see that they got it. She often opened her own purse and gave them what they needed. Such as slipping money to some who had to drive out of town to see their doctors or needed money to buy medicine or travelers going thru who needed money for food or lodging.

She fought cancer and other health problems, saying if God was ready to take her, she was ready to go. She loved children and worked in Bible School for 55 plus years. Many Sunday's she and her husband took children to Church and to Church camp. She was a 4-H Leader, Scout Leader, Youth Leader, taught different Sunday School Classes, worked with United Fund, helped her husband on the farm (driving the crops to market for many years), and did whatever came up to do. She always said, she hoped God would let her work till he was ready to take her home.
She is greatly loved and will be remembered always!
