Jennie Vandermark Obituary

Jennie A. Vandermark, age 92, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. She was born January 30, 1927 in McMechen, West Virginia, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Dombrowski) Liponoga. She married Donald J. Vandermark on June 19, 1948 and he preceded her in death on July 27, 2000.

Jennie and her husband retired in 1984 and moved here from Michigan. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and the Lydia Circle.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Donald; four brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, John Vandermark of Royal Oak, Michigan; four daughters, Judy Vandermark of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Cindy Vandermark of Clawson, Michigan, Donna Vandermark and husband, Rick Hartsoe of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Sandra Schultz and husband, Ronald of Westland, Michigan; one brother, John Liponoga and wife, Christine of Adrian, Michigan; four sisters, Bernice Zurek of Livonia, Michigan, Pauline Patterson of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Helen Hall of Oak Park, Michigan, and Anna Sidell and husband, Les of Laingsburg, Michigan; five grandchildren, Paul Schultz and wife, Michelle, Mark Schultz, John Schultz and wife, Elizabeth, Joy Schultz, and Carole Bray and husband Chris; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Zion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
