Geneva Sachleben Obituary

Geneva C. Sachleben, age 95, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at the United Methodist Village-North Campus in Lawrenceville, IL. She lived at Southern Meadows Independent Living Campus for the past 18-1/2 years. She was born on February 23, 1921 in Milton, Kentucky to Melvin and Willie Abbott Green. She married Lawrence Sachleben on August 9, 1939 and he proceeded her in death in 1990.
Geneva was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Milton, Kentucky, as well as 4-H and the Homemakers Club.
Preceding her in death were her parents: her husband; and her brother, Frank.
Surviving family include three children: Kay Barnes of Milton, Kentucky; Phyllis McGill and her husband Mike of Columbus, Indiana; and Janet Vayhinger and her husband Jack of Lawrenceville, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal visitation or service in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 3 at 1:00PM EST at the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Southern Meadows Independent Living Campus or the donor's charity of choice.
