Elizabeth Doan

Elizabeth " Liz" Ann Doan-Mason, 85, of Hartselle, AL (formerly of Lawrenceville) passed away Sunday February 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born September 24, 1927 in Illinois to Alga Homer and Viola (Rice) Alford. She was first married to Harry B. Doan Jr. from 1944-1985. He preceded her in death. In 1991 she married James Mason. He also preceded her in death. She had worked at Peoples Bank in Lawrenceville for 19 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, IL. She is survived by two sons: Harry Raymond Doan of Albuquerque, NM, Ronald Eugene and his wife Shelly Doan of Burtonsville, IL, two daughters: Connie, and her husband Don Chamberlain of Hartselle, AL, Sharon Trout of Peoria, IL, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A brother is deceased. The funeral will be Friday at 2:30pm at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
