Alta L. Wilson, 79, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 18, 1937 in Sparta, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter and Ethel (Jones) Huettel.
Alta retired from Kirkland Air Force Base in 1988, where she was a computer operator. She was a member of the Valley Lutheran Church in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, and one sister.
Survivors include her four sons, Robert Wilson and Dina of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Carey Wilson and wife, Sharon, of New Mexico, David Wilson and Wilda of Belen, New Mexico, and Daniel Wilson and husband, Alex, of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Janet Akers and husband, Roger, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three brothers, Eugene Huettel of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Larry Huettel of Hartford, Wisconsin, and Loren Huettel of Waco, Texas; four sisters, Bertha Eyere of Watertown, Wisconsin, Delores Henson of Houston, Texas, Myla Liermann of Farmington, Minnesota, and Zelda Clements of Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
