Colene (Morlan) Russell Obituary

Colene M. Russell, age 66, of Lawrenceville, Illinois died peacefully Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

She was born February 13, 1958 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Guy Morlan and Elizabeth (Thompson) Clutts. On July 9, 1982 she married Donald Russell. He preceded her in death February 21, 2021.

She had previously worked at Barbara’s Gift Shop in Vincennes, Indiana. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and the St. Louis Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts games. She especially loved her fur babies.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Don; parents, Guy Morlan and Elizabeth Clutts; sister, Shelene Morlan; step-father, Robert Clutts; step-brother, Michael Clutts; and two nephews, Peter Bryton Nicolini and Matthew Davis.

Survivors include two children, Mallory Stallard and her husband, David of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Brandon Russell and wife, Heidi of Lawrenceville, Illinois; grandchildren, Veda and Aubrey Russell; four siblings, Jan Morlan and wife, Pam, Jolene Willis, and Beth Burson all of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Lora Davis and husband, Andy of Kannapolis, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

Colene’s wishes were to be cremated. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
