Tamir Hodges Obituary

Tamir Elaine (Robinson) Hodges, 61, of Russellville, Illinois passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born January 9, 1957 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of Merlin and Verda (Roach) Robinson. She was married to Russell Leroy Hodges at the Russellville Methodist Church on June 22, 1974 and he survives.

Tamir worked for Help at Home in Mt. Carmel for 10 years and the Animal Clinic of Lawrenceville for 12 years. She attended the Bethlehem General Baptist Church of Vincennes. Her hobbies included crocheting and gardening.

Preceding her in death was her father and one son, Brian Hodges.

Survivors include her husband, Russell; mother, Verda of Vincennes, Indiana; two sons, Robert Hodges and wife, Brittany, of Russellville, Illinois and Kristopher Hodges of Lawrenceville, Illinois; four daughters, Lori E. Thomas of New Castle, Indiana, Erica Cooper and husband, Tyler of French Lick, Indiana, Timmie L. Hodges and significant other, Brandon Flinn of Odon, Indiana, and Anna Bell Hodges of Russellville, Illinois; two brothers, Keith Robinson and wife, Victoria, and Carey Joe Robinson both of Vincennes, Indiana; three sisters, Susan Robinson, Cindy Robinson, and Joni Blackburn and husband, David, all of Vincennes, Indiana; mother-in-law, Elma Hodges of Russellville, Illinois, sister-in-law, Della Hodges of Russellville, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Emily Hodges, Whitney Thomas, Holden Thomas, Daniel Westhaver, Keith Cooper, Brooklyn Cooper, and Virgil Flinn; and several nieces and nephews.

Tamir's wishes were to be cremated with no formal services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tamir's memory may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
