Pat McVickar Obituary

Pat Rex McVickar, 74, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born July 27, 1942 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Rex and Pearl (Mattoon) McVickar.

Pat was a tool and die maker. He worked for Victor Dana Corporation in Robinson, Illinois and Johnson Controls in Vincennes, Indiana. He attended the First Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana. His hobbies included motorcycle riding and hunting.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Iannello and husband, Michael, of Newburgh, Indiana and Carmen Stafford and husband, Matt, of Monroe City, Indiana; brother, Dan McVickar and wife, Nancy, of West Olive, Michigan; and nine grandchildren, Chelsea Stafford, Jacob Stafford, Nicholas Stafford, Isiah Stafford, Jesse Stafford, Annie Iannello, Eva Iannello, Rex Iannello, and Katie Iannello.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pat's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Lisa and Carmen are grateful to their mother, Opal, and Larry for the love and support they gave to their dad over the years.
